Comhghairdeachas le daltaí Scoil Gharbháin a ghlac páirt sa scéim léitheoireachta Réaltaí an tSamhraidh. Míle buíochas le Sarah Fraher ó Leabharlann Dhúngarbháin a bhronn boinn agus teastais ar na páistí ag an ócáid álainn scoile seo maidin inné. Labhair Sarah Gaeilge leis na daltaí agus bhí sí cineálta agus foighneach le gach páiste. Ghlac breis is 64 dalta páirt sa scéim i mbliana, sin dúbailt an uimhir a ghlac páirt anuraidh!! Míle buíochas le tuismitheoirí agus múinteoirí na scoile a spreag na páistí chun páirt a ghlacadh. Cabhraíonn an léitheoireacht i rith an tSamhraidh go mór le scileanna litearthachta na bpáistí a fhorbairt.
Tá an deis fós ann cártaí atá sa bhaile a thabhairt thar nais go dtí an leabharlann agus an teastas agus an bonn a fháil. Táimíd ag dul ó neart go neart!
A heartfelt congratulations to all our students in Scoil Gharbháin who took part in the Summer Stars Reading Programme. We are very grateful to Sarah Fraher from Dungarvan Library who presented the participating students with certificates and medals, at an uplifting ceremony in our school grounds yesterday morning. Sarah spoke 'as Gaeilge' as she commended the school for such strong participation. Our number was doubled from last year's tally. In total, 64 pupils came on stage and were applauded by their fellow students. Well done to parents and teachers alike who encouraged the children to engage with this wonderful initiative. Recreational reading during the Summer holidays strengthens the literacy skills of each students.
Sarah reassured the students that there is still time to hand in Summer Stars reading record cards to the library. It isn't too late to receive the medal and certificate if your child has met the criteria. Beir bua a léitheoirí iontacha!
