Ar mhaithe le hairgead a bhailiú chun leashithe a chur i bhfeidhm ar chlós na scoile, bheartaigh Coiste Folláine na nDaltaí Siopa Oíche Shamhna a rith. Tháinig breis is dhá chéad feistis agus maisiúcháin Oíche Shamhna isteach ó phobal na scoile, agus díoladh iad sa siopa an Déardaoin seo caite. Bailíodh os ceann €780 laistgh de chúpla uair am chloig.
Ba dheis iontach é do dhaltaí úinéireacht agus infheistiú a bheith acu ar chinntí a dhéantar sa scoil, chomh maith le geileagar ciorcalach a chur chun cinn.
Táimid thar a bheith buíoch do Mhúinteoir Sorcha, Múinteoir Aoife agus do Choiste Folláine na nDaltaí a d’eaghraigh gach rud,
agus do Mhúinteoir Jeaic, Seán, Jack agus Conall a chabhraigh go mór ar an là.
Ní neart go cur le chéile!
Our Pupil Wellbeing Committee had identified the school yard as an area for improvement in the current school year. They started the campaign to raise funds last Thursday by running a Halloween Shop. Members of the school community donated over two hundred costumes and decorations, whcih were sold on the day. Over €780 was raised, which will kick start the committee’s work.
It was a wonderful opportunity for pupils to excercise their voice in school matters, and to have ownership of and investment in decision made in the school.
We are very grateful to Múinteoir Sorcha, Múinteoir Aoife and all the pupils on the Wellbeingg Committee who did trojan work all week to pull off a fantastic event. A big thanks to Múinteoir Jeaic, Seán, Jack and Conall who also provided a hand on the day.
